Summary
Our client, a leading supplier of fresh and chilled food products, is looking to appoint a Quality Auditor based at their site in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing food products against internal specifications and monitoring and auditing of the QMS systems in the manufacturing sites.
Reporting to the Head of Technical, responsibilities for the role will include:
• Assessing the quality, safety and legality of products against agreed specifications and processes
• Auditing of QMS records in the manufacturing units
• Auditing Goods-In records and approved supplier updates in the manufacturing units
• Internal audits in the manufacturing units
• Maintaining the traceability of all products (chilled, frozen, frozen in-house)
• Assisting with preparations to achieve compliance for BRC audits and preparation for 2nd party audits
• Reporting and classifying all assessments
• Communicating efficiently with wider team members
Experience / key skills:
• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
• BRC and internal auditing experience desirable
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and functions
• Understanding and awareness of food legislation, food quality management systems, 3rd party accreditation standards, HACCP and food labelling
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Flexible approach with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

This role attracts a competitive salary of up to £28k plus a competitive benefits package and working hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm.
