Summary

We are recruiting a Care Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 28 Hours - Approximate shift times are 7:00am -2.30pm & 2.30pm-10pm. 4 x shifts over 7 days
Contract Type: Permanent/Part Time
Location: Castle View Caerphilly

Castle View Residential Home is looking 1 x Care Assistant to provide care and support for older adults living with a dementia. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopt a person centred approach.

Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential. You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice. You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, possess clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.

It is essential that applicants are in receipt of / working towards Level 2 in care (Previously known as NVQ 2) or a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.

For the role, we ask that you have:

1. Requirement to achieve a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care within an agreed timescale.
2. Shows empathy, and is courteous, responsive and sensitive to the needs of individuals.
3. Able and willing to work flexibly including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
