Summary

We are recruiting Care Assistants at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Casual / Relief
Location: Residential Homes across the borough

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Adult’s Residential Care Sector.

Caerphilly County Borough Council is looking for Care Assistants to provide care and support for older adults. You will be required to carry out duties to support residents in a dignified and respectful manner, promoting independence and wellbeing and adopt a person-centred approach.

You can work between 2 and 5 shifts over any 7 days per week on a casual basis.

Experience of working with older people would be beneficial although not essential. You must have knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care e.g. dignity and choice. You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, possess clear understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the post and be courteous and responsive to the needs of individuals.

It is essential that applicants are in receipt of / working towards Level 2 in care (Previously known as NVQ 2) or a willingness to achieve the qualification within a specified timeframe.

For the role, we ask that you have:

1. Knowledge of principle that underpin quality care, e.g. dignity, choice, etc.
2. Experience of working as part of a team.
3. The commitment to achieving high standards
