We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic practice as a Senior Veterinary Surgeon. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with the existing senior veterinary team, guiding, motivating, and providing support to their small animal department.
With over 25 years of dedicated service, our client's veterinary practice has become an integral part of the local community, providing exceptional care to thousands of animals, both large and small. Nestled on the fringes of the North Yorkshire Moors, they are a thriving mixed animal practice. Their dedicated team comprises of more than 21 experienced Vets and 16 outstanding RVNs/SVNs spread across three practices, serving North Yorkshire and its surrounding areas. Their locations offer the perfect blend of rural tranquillity and proximity to the stunning North East coastline, making it an ideal place for professionals seeking both career growth and a high quality of life.
The team boasts a rich blend of experience, ranging from certificate holders to recent graduates and longstanding veterinary professionals. The practice thrives on a culture of support, camaraderie, and inclusivity. They value teamwork and believe in helping each other grow.
Our client continually invests in state-of-the-art equipment, including an In-house laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound, fully-equipped operating theatres, and more, to ensure they provide the highest standards of care.
Your key responsibilities will include the provision of clinical leadership and mentorship to the veterinary team, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care, assisting in managing and resolving customer complaints in a professional and timely manner, effective time and workload management to ensure efficient clinic operations and deputising for the Clinical Director when required.
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with significant depth and breadth of knowledge and practical experience across general or referral practice. You need to have strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members as well as exceptional customer service and communication skills.

The Rota:
• Full time or Part Time role
• 1:4 Saturday mornings
• No OOH or bank holidays
The Benefits:
• Excellent salary from £55,000 - £75,000 DOE
• CPD encouraged and funded and Certificates fully funded
• Generous CPD Allowance of £1750 and 5 fully paid days
• Generous Staff Discount
• RCVS and VDS fees paid
• BVA paid for plus one other membership (BSAVA, BEVA, BCVA)
• 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
• Resettlement package if needed
