Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established practice in a beautiful market town on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. This role would suit a caring small animal vet who is looking to enjoy a perfect balance between consulting and operating on a variety of routine and occasional urgent cases, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workday.

Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who has a caring and enthusiastic nature with the desire to work to a very high clinical standard. Experience is preferable however our client will consider recent graduates who are looking to take the next step in their career. Support will be provided by senior staff to less experienced candidates.

The modern purpose-built practice is fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy as well as an in-house laboratory, dentistry, hydrotherapy and much more. They have a very friendly supportive, close-knit team of 2 Senior Veterinary Surgeons, 3 qualified Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 3 Animal Nursing Assistants and 6 reception/admin staff. They pride themselves in offering their clients an exceptional standard of care and are frequently investing in new equipment to ensure they continue to do so.

Their flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours truly tips the scale on your work/life balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, they can find the right solution for you. The practice is open from 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturday mornings - there is no OOH requirement for this role and they are more than happy to discuss flexible shift patterns within these times so that you can enjoy an excellent work/life balance. Living accommodation could be provided if desired.

Experience is preferred, but they are also keen to hear from more recent graduates looking to take the next step in their career. You will be working alongside two senior vets who can offer advice and assistance whenever it is needed, as well as an excellent team of support staff who do a great job keeping the vets in line. CPD, including studying for certificates, is encouraged and funded. The successful candidate will be a caring and enthusiastic Vet with the desire to work to a high clinical standard. Communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team are paramount.

Located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, the practice is close to the sea, boasting some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the country, yet only 15 miles from the city of Norwich. The local area is diverse with many lovely walks, lots of wildlife and the chance to partake in water-based activities including stand up paddle boarding, sailing and kayaking, making this is the ideal location for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.
