Job Description

What is the role?


As a Nurture Teacher you will be working across the Enhanced Nurture establishments and with the Outreach Nurture team supporting children with an identified nurture need, and extensive work with mainstream schools and families to embed nurturing practice. You will be required to apply a flexible approach to a variety of situations such as building capacity across authority, applying the nurture principles into daily practice, supporting schools to implement nurturing environments and leading family support programmes.


Experience and skills in supporting pupils who display dysregulated and distressed behaviour, as well as a knowledge of nurture principles, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and Trauma and Attachment theory would be desirable.


The role is based across South Ayrshire and will require travel.
