Summary


We are seeking a full timeSpecialist in Microbiologyto join our established and enthusiastic team in providing a high-quality Microbiology service on the Isle of Wight.

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a Microbiology service and meet the requirements for accreditation with UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

The contract is for 10 PAs. The Trust is happy to consider flexible working in support of work / life balance. Extended days, compressed hours and part time working may be considered.

The post-holder will be part of a senior medical team with our substantive consultant in Microbiology

The post holder will, together with consultant colleague, be responsible for the provision of high quality comprehensive, efficient and cost-effective Microbiology and infection control services to the Trust and other users of the service. The appointee will be the designated Antimicrobial Stewardship lead (whilst the consultant is the designated Infection Control Doctor (ICD), but with potential to rotate these roles).
