Fire Small Works Engineer - Brighton

Salary: £ 35000.00

Weekly hours: 40h

Mitie are looking to expand our already thriving service department by taking on a Small Works Engineer to join our fire delivery team.

The purpose of this role is to have responsibility for delivering a fully compliant fire small works and commissioning delivery for a growing service delivery business which aim to be the best in market.

The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be customer focused, be electrically experienced with a range of fire detection system and auxiliary equipment and most importantly be flexible in their approach to work.We provide everything required for you to carry out the job to the best of your ability.

The role will involve working individually and with our other experienced Small Works Engineers to;



-Act as a representative of Mitie carrying out small works remedial duties and commission works as detailed by Line Management.

-Responsible for ensuring the works are carried out while adhering to Mitie Operating policies, procedures and quality policy, and to the relevant industry guidelines and customer specifications.

-Build long term and sustainable customer relationships whilst maintaining the highest standards of presentation, personal integrity, and customer support.

-Ensure high standards are maintained in respect of technical compliance to standards, health and safety and pay particular attention to statutory compliance.

-Ensuring with all company, legislative and best practice requirements, including Health, Safety, Environmental, Procurement and Employment practices.

-Ensure that all report completion is timely and accurate covering day to day task completion reports, non-conformity reporting and time management.

-Demonstration of a good working knowledge of BS5839 pt1 2017 and BS 7671 2018 as a minimum with previous experience in Security beneficial.

-Liaise with auditing team to ensure site inspections / ongoing audits are carried out on a as and when required basis.



We're ideally looking for a dedicated engineer that has a lot of passion for the industry and will cover a range of sites to provide essential remedial works to our client's fire detection systems. The role will involve traveling to and from the clients sites covering large areas and may include some overnight stays depending on distances from home.As a Small Works Engineer, you will work closely with our office and the client to ensure that every site functions properly and all works are carried out to the specification detailed.We will conduct periodic reviews of training using matrix systems and track your progress with us as a multi skilled engineer and Mitie will provide ‘on the job', in-house and external training courses to help push you to the next level of your career.

Qualifications & Experience

-Must be electrically experienced and able to demonstrate with suitable qualifications

-Previous experience within the Fire industry a must with experience in the security industry desirable

-Substantial quantifiable and demonstrable experience in a similar role, with previous experience in Fire small works and commissioning delivery.

-FIA Foundation Course, FIA fire installation/commissioning course and BS7671:2018 (18th Edition) desirable but not essential

-CCNSG/CSCS

-IPAF

-Experience in following RAMS closely.

-Clean driving license.
