Summary

My clients have been operating on the fringes of the UK fleet market for almost ten years, underwriting on behalf of insurance companies. They launched its new underwriting facility in December 2017 with the backing of Accredited Insurance (Europe) Ltd (AIEL). AIEL is owned by the Randall & Quilter Group of companies and carries an A- AM Best Rating. Also supported by Transatlantic Reinsurance (London) Ltd who are A+ rated by all the leading rating agencies.

We are now looking for them experienced Assistant Claim Handler Manager

With litigation experience, to deal with all aspects of motor claims, up to an individual handling authority, in accordance with company procedures and Legal Regulations and Protocols, ensuring claims are managed to successful conclusion. The role will involve the investigation, negotiation and settlement of claims, whilst ensuring potentially fraudulent claims are identified.

Must have some team leader/supervisory experience.

Monday-Friday 8.30-5pm 1 hour lunch
Salary upto £45k DOE
25 days holiday plus stats
There are several public car parks nearby. Piccadilly train station is less than a 10 minute walk from the office, Oxford Road train station less that a 5 minute walk, Piccadilly bus station is less than a 5 minute walk and the tram stop in St Peter’s Square is only a couple of minutes away.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Fraud Referral Point – The fraud process from FNOL stage to Conclusion. Developing the training and the delivery.
• Litigation Referral point – Responsible for ensuring that leakage is avoided implementing the roll out of a litigation referral process.
• Complaint management – Responsible for the complaints process and ensuring that all complaints are reviewed, actioned and the relevant final response sent within FCA timescales.
• Caseload Management - Handle a varied caseload of motor PI claims by telephone and written correspondence, from first advice to settlement. Prioritise own claims portfolio and team responsibilities
• Work Allocation - Ensure timely allocation of tasks within the department, company, MOJ and FCA guidelines
• Supplier Management - Keeping brokers and policyholders fully updated throughout the claim
• Customer Excellence - Consistently deliver outstanding customers service to ensure the claims process is as stress-free as possible for the policyholder and ensuring the team do the same
• Helped write the claims procedure guide, for complaints as part of the guide.
• Act as a point of contact for Policyholders and Brokers
• Fraud Detection - - Ensuring the team Identify and refer to fraudulent activity and any questionable underwriting
• FSA Regulations – Ensuring the team adhere to company and regulatory policies and guidelines at all times
• Technical Referral point – Main referral point for the claims team.

Candidates must:
• have management experience
• be adaptable and a good team player with the ability to communicate effectively
• have good time management and organisational skills
• be confident in handling telephone queries
• must have acted for an insurer not a claimant
Essential to have:
• must have a sound understanding of motor claims processes from start to finish
• management experience
• experience of handling fraudulent claims
• the ability to negotiate best possible settlements and the ability to make sound decisions
