Summary

Join the financial services team as our Senior Payments Officer and champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting efficiency, high performance, probity, and outstanding value for money services.

This role requires the post holder to process invoices, raise purchase orders, answer supplier enquiries and undertake payment runs, as well as responding to enquiries from internal and external customers with a high standards of customer service. Administration and record keeping functions and the processing of incoming cash and cheques also form part of this role.

The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, working efficiently and to a high standard. Numeracy, literacy and computer skills are essential to this role, alongside attention to detail and accurate performance of tasks and record keeping. Good IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office products are essential. You will ideally have previous experience of carrying out Accounts Payable tasks and experience of using Unit 4 Business World/Agresso experience is also desirable although in house training will be provided.

You will need to have a flexible approach to prioritising daily tasks and the ability to work as part of a team. The successful candidate will be well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads when faced with conflicting demands.
