Summary


The Vaccine & Testing Research Team at UHBW are excited to offer a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join the team for maternity leave cover.

Building on the team's success over the past 3 years the V&T research team are expanding their portfolio, recruiting into new and exciting early phase and experimental medicine research studies. The team is widening it's focus to include phase I and II studies in other disease areas supporting research teams conducting early phase and experimental research.

Based in a purpose built research facility, we are excited to be included in the recent NIHR Clinical Research facility accreditation and funding. This opens up future opportunities working with industry and academia to further develop Bristol's global positioning delivering excellent, ground breaking research.

We are looking to recruit a nurse who has a broad range of skills and clinical experience who has a keen interest in improving healthcare through high quality research. Research experience is not essential for this post as a full training package will be provided. The successful candidate will support the Research Sister in the safe and effective delivery of clinical trials, acting as a resource for staff, researchers and research participants.

• Working with the wider Vaccine & Testing research team and trial sponsors to facilitate the set up and delivery of clinical trials.
• To plan and coordinate clinics and participant flow to ensure protocol defined activities are conducted appropriately and that participant safety is maintained.
• Support junior team members, acting as a role model sharing knowledge and expertise to facilitate development opportunities.
