Summary
Mini Bus Driver, Social Care
Location: Great Warford Alderley Edge, SK9 7UD
Salary: £22785.30.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Must have a full, clean, UK Driving Licence
Ideally you will be an individual with a caring and adaptable approach to your work who maintains a positive attitude at all times. Quick to act on your own initiative you will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be an effective team player.

Job Role:
To carry out general driving duties for the Centre, including transporting clients with multiple disabilities.
To ensure vehicles are up to Centre standards, including cleanliness, safety and general maintenance.
To carry out any other duties, which may be required in connection with the efficient and effective running of our busy Transport Department.
To promote and support awareness of cultural diversity. To ensure that bullying, harassment and intimidation are not tolerated.
To be aware of issues relating to POVA and safeguarding of children and to report any untoward incidents immediately to the appropriate person.
To develop an awareness of all issues around the protection of Service Users and to report all concerns in accordance with centre policies.
To ensure that all health and safety responsibilities are discharged to protect the health and safety of self, employees and comply with best practice and legal requirements
To assist with any other Ad Hoc duties required as and when the business may require them.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Full current clean driving licence (up to 3 penalty points maximum)
Successful completion of the MIDAS Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme
Experience of working with people with disabilities would be preferable.
A basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements.
