Further information: A Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support a 15yrs old boy to access social and leisure activities within the community.

He is easy going, cheeky and a joy to be around, he doesn’t have tantrums or object to much, but when he doesn’t like something he will let you know with a sign for no and a shake of the head and nothing more. He enjoys spending time doing a variety of activities and is fun to spend time with. He is also a very affectionate boy who cares greatly for others and enjoys seeing other people happy and is always quick to offer a cuddle and a smile (he has the greatest infectious smile) when he thinks you need it.

He is a very happy lad, he enjoys having a laugh and joke and likes to have a bit of teasing banter. He is typical of a 15yo enjoying music (particularly Viking FM) and his gaming on the PS 5. He also enjoys watching sport on the TV as well as game shows. He also enjoys walks and the beach and going out bowling. He loves to get involved, but at times may watch for a bit before joining in if it’s something new.

He has a limited view of danger and limited balance so the successful candidate will need to ensure he is kept safe when out in the community and may need to support him when crossing the road or going up a ramp or steps. His parents assist with most personal care tasks, but he will need support to use the toilet when out in the community.

A car driver would be preferred, but having the right personality, being relaxed, patient and easy to get along with is much more important.

The successful applicant will be employed subject to a DBS check.
