LTF Recruitment are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA to join the support staff team of our dedicated and inclusive partner school in the Harrow area. As a HLTA you will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision, monitor pupils, assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development and will, with the teacher, plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals/groups as well as covering whole classes for planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) time.
Main Duties will include:
- Working 1:1 with children as well as delivering group support, across KS1 and KS2
- Helping to engage SEN pupils and encouraging interaction.
- Supporting children with reading, writing and their work.
- Supporting the Class teacher with delivery of lessons, and leading class sessions during PPA time
- Prepare and deliver planned learning activities to smaller groups and whole classes.
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have at least one years' experience working within a school.
- Be HLTA qualified, desirable but not essential.
- Have a good understanding of supporting SEN students.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to quickly build relationships with students and staff.
