Summary


Patient Administrator Maternity Department

We are searching for a high performing and enthusiastic individual to fill 2 Patient Administrator vacancy's at the Chelsea site working in our busy Maternity Department. If you thrive on a challenge and enjoy working in a very busy and demanding environment this could be the role for you.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive patient focused administrative service, on a day-to-day basis to a multi-disciplinary team based in our Maternity Department . The successful candidate must be able to work both autonomously and as a member of the team and be able to undertake a wide range of administrative duties.

As a team player they will need to be able to demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills, be organised, adaptable and flexible, show empathy and concern for others.

2 positions available - 1 full-time post in Maternity Inpatients Ward, working on a shift pattern starting at 7.30 and finishing at 19.30, two or three days on and then three days off. This pattern will include bank holidays.

1 Part-Time position working 3 days a week 9-5 in Ultrasound/Antenatal Clinic



The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare to patients by providing an administrative service focused on the patient and their individual needs. The Patient Administrator will provide effective and efficient administrative
support to a team liaising with patients, doctors and other healthcare professionals. The staff member will work consistently to provide high quality customer service and will be professional at all times. The post holder will be required to work in one of the following areas, providing cross cover where necessary:
• Maternity Antenatal Office and Birth Centre
• Ultrasound
• Maternity Reception/Inpatient Ward
• Maternity Assessment Unit

• Admitting patients via Cerner
• Amending demographics on Cerner and K2
• Meeting and greeting patients and visitors with a welcoming and kind attitude
• Scanning Documents
• Answering phones
• Communicating with the Clinical Team
• Working as part of a larger team
• Cross covering within the Maternity Team
