We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Neighbourhoods Team, within the Housing Services Department as a Housing Services Team Leader and you might be exactly who we’re looking for!

The Team Leader within the Housing Services Department (ASB & Neighbourhoods) will supervise the day-to-day delivery of the ASB housing management service and manage the ASB team to deliver a high quality, customer-focussed service. This will include contributing to the recruitment of staff, training and development, attendance and performance management.

Candidates will need a sound understanding of delivering excellent customer services and be able to provide work direction, leadership and motivate the team, having the confidence to analyse/identify problems affecting service delivery and develop/discuss potential solutions with the Housing Services Managers.

The successful candidate will contribute to service development, support the ASB & Neighbourhoods Manager in the delivery of the required outcomes of BCH’s Business Plan and Service Plan and will strive to improve and meet Key Performance Indicators on a regular basis.

Communicating, influencing and negotiating is an integral part of the role so applicants should possess and be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills. This should include being able to handle difficult conversations, achieving conflict resolution, empathising with victims, building positive working relationships with both internal colleagues and external agencies and assisting the Housing Services Managers with the investigation and response to complaints up to Stage 2.

The post holder must have a detailed knowledge and understanding of housing legislation, national housing issues and good practice when dealing with tenants in a social housing environment, along with an understanding of the principles of social housing needs and services for vulnerable and complex needs customers, including those with multiple disadvantages. In addition, applicants should possess an understanding of safeguarding, equality and diversity, GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation.

A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, post-secondary education (or equivalent) and a supervisory or management qualification (or equivalent) are essential.

The post holder must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes, as the role will require regular business travel across the Blackpool area.
Any offer of appointment will be subject to satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as a CRB check).
