Summary

Job Title: Interim Capital Projects Senior Project Manager

Location: North West, UK

Duration: Temporary/Interim

Day rate: Inside IR35 – 450-550 per day DOE

As the Interim Capital Projects Senior Project Manager, you will lead and manage a variety of construction projects primarily in the education sector, with additional focus on leisure and corporate buildings. Drawing on your technical construction background, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital projects in the education, leisure, and corporate buildings sectors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Plan, execute, and close projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and project timelines.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to drive project progress and resolve any issues or conflicts.
• Monitor and evaluate project performance against established objectives, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.

Experience/Qualifications

• Proven track record of successfully managing capital projects in the education sector, with additional experience in leisure and corporate buildings considered an asset.
• Strong technical construction background with a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
