We are very pleased to open applications for the following post: Applications are sought for a UKCP Registered Senior Adult CAT Psychotherapist and CAT Supervisor- 8A post- 0.8wte [30 hours] commencing April 2024.

The post will involve running 4 CAT supervision groups, conducting complex assessments, clinical work , consultation ,service development and participation in the South London CAT Practitioner training as required.

The applicant will need to be:

An accredited ACAT and UKCP Psychotherapist

An accredited ACAT supervisor

A current member of ACAT.


• To work autonomously as a Senior Adult Psychotherapist within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.
• To provide CAT Clinical supervision and manage the clinical work of CAT Trainees and Honorary staff undertaking clinical placements within Lambeth SCPT holding to the training structures of the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy [ACAT] and in accordance with the service’s policies and procedures.
• To deliver the systematic provision of a highly specialist CAT psychotherapy service to patients referred to the service.
• To undertake highly specialist assessments of referrals to CAT and refer appropriately to other interventions in the relational pathway
• To offer highly specialist advice and consultation to other mental health professionals.
• To undertake advanced and highly specialist continuing professional development in Cognitive Analytic Therapy and other psychotherapy methods as required.
• To contribute to the CAT training program as required
• To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development.
