HEAD OF ACCREDITATION

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AUTHORITY FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

SALARY £80,732

What we are looking for:

We are looking a Head of Accreditation to lead our Accreditation team within the Regulation and Accreditation Directorate.

One of the Professional Standards Authority’s (PSA’s) key roles is to accredit registers of practitioners working in unregulated health and care roles through our Accredited Registers programme. There are currently 28 registers within the programme, covering approximately 130,000 registrants. We are looking to continue to expand the assurance and public protection the programme provides, including through increasing awareness and recognition of the programme.

This is a varied role, which includes oversight of assessments of registers against the Standards for Accredited Registers, growing and developing the programme, and raising awareness of the benefits of accredited registration. As Head of Accreditation, you will be responsible for leading the programme. We are looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic individual who can:

Lead a programme or work, providing strategic direction and ensuring delivery of high-quality operational work.

Lead a small team to achieve goals across a variety of operational areas.

Continue to grow the programme and ensure its ongoing financial sustainability.

Develop and manage effective stakeholder relationships to continue to build the reputation and recognition of the programme.

Plan, lead and oversee projects to produce high quality outcomes within set deadlines.

We are committed to promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where all our staff can flourish and reach their full potential. We know that a diverse workforce, at all levels, allows for a more creative and productive environment bringing different viewpoints, knowledge and experience. Therefore, we are keen to improve the diversity within our organisation and would like to encourage individuals who come from a diverse range of backgrounds.

As a Disability Confident employer, we will guarantee an interview for people with disabilities who meet all the essential criteria and so if you would like to be considered under this scheme then please let us know.
