At VWFS UK our Fleet division is changing, we are on an exciting transformational journey with large growth plans to enable our business to be the market leader and clear choice for corporate customers to partner with for all their funding and fleet needs.

We are looking for a passionate Fleet Product Manager to manage the end to end product life cycle for Electric Vehicles. You will use your customer and market insight knowledge to develop and launch new propositions whilst continually developing the current portfolio to meet our customer requirements.

Reporting in to the Head of Fleet Development, you will interface with many key stakeholders across the business to provide regular product updates.

What you will be responsible for…

  • Own and drive technical products and services from inception to completion, including management and prioritisation of proposition roadmap. Ensure product delivery runs smoothly, on time and within budget and meeting commercial targets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to understand what customers, retailers, brands, other VWFS departments and HQ want from new products and translate this into technical product requirements to be delivered
  • Share advice and guidance to internal teams ensuring they are confident and empowered to lead on Electric Vehicle topics with their customers
  • Work closely with the wider teams to identify resources, skills and training required to develop and integrate technical products in to our proposition
  • Work closely with the wider Marketing Team to conduct detailed market analysis and customer research to determine new markets to develop suitable products
  • Act as the customer voice to identify stakeholder requirements from new products and translate this into workable concept and commercial proposition
  • Contribute to the definition of segment strategies and roadmaps to Identify key customer and market insights
  • Work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to shape, build and deliver successful go-to-market plans for new propositions.
  • Drive commercial performance of all propositions and products and support business objectives
  • Closely monitor and respond to competitive activity by identifying emerging opportunities
  • Support new sales and key account opportunities with subject matter expertise, positioning VWFS Fleet as the number one provider for all their net zero and zero emission transition needs

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:

  • Previous end to end Product Management experience
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to influence senior decision makers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Excellent team player, able to interact cross-functionally at different levels within the organisation
  • Knowledge and experience of financial services or fleet business processes desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrable commercial design experience with skills to unlock potential ideas whilst understanding the key assumptions,
  • Good understanding of product development and relating to exceptional customer journeys/outcomes.
  • Analytical and commercially aware
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management experience
  • Good technical knowledge of and experience with Electric Vehicles/Commercial Vehicles - ideal but not essential
