Summary

Job Title: Construction Site Manager (External Works)
Location: Leeds, United Kingdom
Start Date: Late April

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Manager to join their team on a large multiroom construction project in Leeds. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing all external works of the project, including brickwork, curtain walling, facade, and roof installations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of external works, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate and oversee brickwork, curtain walling, facade, and roof installations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to construction standards.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate deliveries, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, including conducting regular site inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
  • Monitor progress and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
  • Provide regular progress reports to project management highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager, with a focus on external works and relevant experience in brickwork, curtain walling, facade, and roof installations.
  • Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and First Aid certifications are essential.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations related to external works.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities to meet project deadlines.
