Summary


The pharmacy department is looking for a dependable, enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy assistant to join our Stores Team.

The individuals will help us deliver a high quality and efficient patient focused service.

The ideal candidates will have good levels of stamina, be physically fit with good attention to detail and possess good communication skills, be a flexible, committed and good team players.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the extended hour’s service working five 8 hour shifts between 7am-7pm Monday to Friday with a half day one Saturday in Four.

You will be a key member of staff in helping us develop the pharmacy service which continues to develop in line with the NHS plan for pharmacy.

As part of the Pharmacy Stores Team you will receive in deliveries from Wholesalers & Couriers, check the deliveries are correct, receipting on the HIVE computer system, and flagging any discrepancies in a timely manner. Using good Manual Handling practice you will help move the goods to the Main Inpatient Pharmacy and unpack the deliveries on to the correct storage locations. You will also help us manage and main the Automated Dispensing systems (Robots) within the Inpatient Pharmacy at Oxford Road.

There is a positive attitude towards development of staff within the department and you will be encouraged to participate in our in-house training programs in order that you can develop your skills and apply them in the most appropriate way towards improving patient care.
