Summary


To work as a member of the OSRC performing routine and ad hoc stores tasks supporting the Senior Technical officer and stores team with routine tasks of receiving new goods , stock storage , decontamination and basic maintenance of returned equipment. As required, to work alongside the technical officers delivering equipment if a second person is required for an urgent patient visit or to collect equipment .
• To receive information with respect to the preparation of orders for delivery to patients
• To carry out or assist in the preparation of orders for delivery according to the relevant paperwork
• To ensure all equipment instruction leaflets and OSRC contact details are ready alongside each delivery
• To assist with the accepting, storing and loading goods within the stores environment and obtaining delivery signatures as required.
• To safely move stock around the stores in accordance with health and safety guidelines
• To be trained in the use of the store fork lift truck to allow safe movement of heavy loads
• To ensure compliance with all Trust Documentation and Information Governance policies.
• To use heavy duty cleaning machines, cleaning products and tools to assist in the process of cleaning decontamination, disassembling or assembling equipment returned to stores
• According to procedures and seeking advice as required , to determine whether a returned piece of equipment is reusable or requires dismantling and disposing of within health and safety guidelines.
• To maintain and safe and clean work environment , cleaning stores on a regular basis to ensure compliance with health and safety and infection control requirements .
• To be trained in the use of the stores decontamination machine and steam cleaner
