About the role…
We are looking for an inspirational individual with unyielding commitment for success to develop all aspects of our drivers and people. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual with the skill and ability to improve driver performance lowering hazardous vehicle emissions.
We want you to demonstrate key strengths in people management, delivering on improving the environmental impact of our business, achieve vehicle/driver efficiencies, and provide high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be carrying out analytical interrogations of systems to understand driver performance, undertake practical assessments and coaching to diagnose and have a positive influence on both vehicle and driver incidents, behaviours and performance.
You will need to have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, be commercially and industry aware to maximise opportunities for efficiencies and have a strong success record in delivering results. By supporting the Head of Fleet Operations in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) of the Fleet service and achieve full driver, vehicle compliance and availability to successfully support the needs and efficiency of front line services at all times.
You will need…

A Full, valid UK Heavy Goods Vehicle Driving Licence (or European equivalent) minimum Class C. Practical experience of professional HGV driving
The ability to analyse, interpret, act and report on systems data and professional observation.
Experience in the management of drivers/people.
Ability to prepare and deliver practical and theoretical training sessions to a wide audience.
To communicate clearly and effectively, a good listener and presenter with good interpersonal skills.
Ability to complete documents legibly and accurately.
Confident in Microsoft package (Word, Outlook etc), with experience of using bespoke computer systems.
