Summary

Maintenance and Contracts, invites you to join our systems analyst team, the team are central to supporting our existing ICT systems that underpin service delivery in a fast paced maintenance team.

You will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of secure and reliable ICT systems and services – including servers, applications, networks, telephony, and other associated infrastructure.

Hours of work are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Hybrid working between Gipping House, Ipswich, and home working. (Minimum 3 days per week in office.)

Main Duties will include but not be limited to:

Analyse, research and resolve complex problems to support efficient and effective working to meet the requirements of the business.
Maintain and support on a day-to-day basis existing ICT systems, programme and implement upgrades to ICT applications.
Act as the nominated Officer for contact with other service areas, suppliers and other ICT teams, working proactively with them to analyse complex business requirements. Design and specify appropriate ICT solutions for the Council’s priority goals and aspirations.
Provide an escalation path for the service Desk, for specialist technical support and assistance to the resolution of complex issues.
Support our mobile working technology by way of configuring devices, training staff and trouble shoot issues as they arise.
Extract data, design reports and analyse statistics to allow decisions to be made based on facts and data to improve service delivery for the business.
Liaise with, advise and assist customers and suppliers, ensuring that appropriate support, analysis and resolution of problems, documentation and training is delivered when required.
Responsible as a senior member of the team for implementing new ICT systems and solutions as appropriate and managing staff as appropriate, i.e., Work Schedulers.
Essential

We are ideally looking for a candidate with proven experience working within a broad-based ICT environment who is able to support and implement effective ICT solutions. You will possess expert skills in Microsoft excel with a high degree of analytical ability to identify trends and anomalies within data sets. Able to give advice and guidance on specific ICT issues to individuals who possess varying levels of ICT skills. You will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, coupled with the capability to support others and take ownership of tasks. Candidates would have a methodical approach to work with sound organisational skills and communication skills.

Desirable

Experience in social housing repair, scheduling and asset management applications such as Servitor, Keystone, One advanced DRS and NEC.
