Summary

GM Coachwork is one of the UK’s largest vehicle conversion specialists, striving to design, manufacture and deliver accessible transport solutions. We are a privately funded large business employing more than 200 people. We are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth, and this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, established business in South Devon.

Due to business growth, we are now recruiting for Minibus production line operatives to join our team.


Day-to-day duties but not limited to

Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and SOP’s
Skilfully use a wide range of air and hand tools
Follow a defined process without deviation
Maintain and build all assemblies to the quality standard required
Use and maintain company tools in a safe, clean, and workable condition
Complete all company documentation where necessary and maintain all work areas to company standard


Essential skills and Experience

Great communication skills and friendly, professional approach
Attention to detail
Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team
An understanding of vehicle electrics would be useful but not essential if you’re a candidate willing to learn
Maintain and build all assemblies to the quality standard required
You will be competent in working with power and air tools and have a flexible, can-do attitude. Experience of working within a manufacturing site/production line would be advantageous but is not essential.
Training can be provided for the right candidates.


Personal Circumstances

Full UK/EU Driving Licence
Eligible to work in the UK



What we offer

Hourly Rate: £13 p/hr
Working Hours: Rotating Shift: One Week 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Next Week 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
6 monthly bonus – performance related
Annual holiday entitlement in any holiday year is 28 days, inclusive of all public holiday entitlement.
Following the completion of 5 years’ continuous service, holiday entitlement will increase by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.
