Summary


We are very excited to advertise a Band 6 Children's OT post working in the Children's Occupational Therapy team in Coventry.

The post holder will be a key member of the Children's physical health OT team, contributing to service improvement, championing evidence based practice and delivering high quality clinical care.

The role will be part of our established Coventry community based Children's OT, serving the 0-19 population. You will have the opportunity to work with our early years population, in our hand and upper limb service and within our school settings, improving the lives of these children and young people.

We provide specialist assessment and intervention to children and young people with a wide variety of needs including upper limb, splinting, emerging diagnosis, prematurity, developmental delay, parent education, specialist clinics and early intervention.

Whilst Children's experience is desirable, evidence of how you are able to utilise your transferable skills within our team will also be seriously considered.

The post holder will be supported with internal and external training, alongside support from clinical specialists within children's physical health services. This includes MDT working alongside consultants and trainee ACP's

This role is integral to development of Band 5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. This includes supporting development via supervision and appraisals.

The post holder will have good knowledge of OT and a passion for wanting to work with Children. They will also be forward thinking with future service delivery and be open to involvement in clinical service improvement projects and departmental audits.

CWPT Children's Occupational Therapy are committed to learning and development and the post holder will lead on certain areas of the development programme for new starters, alongside feeding into our well-established in-service training and preceptorship programme.The post holder will work closely work MDT colleagues including physiotherapy, speech and language, early support, portage, SENCOs, orthopaedics, neonatologists and community paediatricians.The service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and an Outstanding for care and compassion of which we are rightly proud.
