Our client, a friendly and RCVS accredited veterinary practice nestled on the border of Surrey and South London, is on the lookout for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit team.

With a proud legacy of over 25 years dedicated to their community's pets, they are committed to providing top-notch veterinary care. The practice boasts modern, spacious facilities that include a specialised surgical theatre equipped to handle various soft tissue and minor orthopaedic procedures. They have carefully designed an environment to ensure both animal patients and their owners feel welcomed and valued.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the majority of surgical cases. You will collaborate closely with the Lead Vet, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of medical experience. The team includes a skilled RVN, two Patient Care Assistants, and a dedicated Client Care Assistant, all working together to create a seamless experience for patients and their owners.

The practice has a spacious reception area with a dedicated VIP lounge tailored for our feline friends. This space is equipped with cat towers and calming Feliway blankets to ensure a stress-free visit. They have 4 consultation rooms, including one designated for sensitive situations like bereavement as well as separate cat and dog wards which are supplemented by convenient walk-in kennels for larger dogs. They also have a specialised surgical theatre and operations room, along with two preparation rooms and a dedicated ultrasound and x-ray room, enhancing their diagnostic capabilities.

Their clients primarily consist of small-to-medium-sized dogs, though they also serve a significant number of feline patients. Many of their clients have been with them for years, underscoring their unwavering commitment to their beloved pets. Our client prides themselves on comprehensive case management to ensure thorough and effective care.

Nestled just a short 10-minute walk from Morden Underground station on the Northern Line, the practice enjoys convenient accessibility. The surrounding area boasts several scenic parks, including Morden Park, Richmond Park, and even a National Trust Park, providing a serene backdrop to a bustling practice.

The Rota:
• Full time role
• 4 day week
• 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends

The Benefits:
• Fantastic salary - up to £62,000 DOE
• 5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays
• 4 weeks' paid sabbatical (after each 5 years of service)
• CPD Allowance £1,500 plus 3 days CPD leave (FTE), along with exceptional in-house CPD training
• RCVS, BVA and VDS fees paid
• Vehicle allowance or Company Vehicle
• Relocation package available
