An exciting opportunity for a Pupil Support Assistant has arisen at Perth Academy working with the Support for Learning Department.

Perth Academy is a large, friendly and inclusive high school with a student roll of 1,000.

You will work as part of our mainstream team to support a range of pupils with additional needs including learning, communication and social barriers to learning.

We are looking for a candidate to support our learners to access mainstream classes and achieve success, as well as working within the school’s designated support areas and undertake some 1:1 intensive recovery work with students.

We are seeking a practitioner who is highly motivated, reliable and willing to play an active role in the life and work of the support department and the wider school.

You should demonstrate kindness, empathy and patience, be solution focussed but also able to work well as part of a supportive team.

Experience (either paid or voluntary) of supporting young people with additional needs is desirable.

You should be able to demonstrate confidentiality in relation to young people and their families at all times.
