Summary

Compliance Manager - Electrical and Gas
£30,000 - £40,000 plus benefits (Work level 6A)

Full UK Driving Licence required
Fully flexible hybrid working

We're looking for a Compliance Manager to join our Facilities Management team in the Co-op Property Function. In this role you'll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home, the office and visiting our suppliers (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

We'll look to you to be responsible for making sure all areas of our diverse property portfolio are compliant with the electrical, gas and building fabric regulations by working with our suppliers to retain our high standards and culture of safety and compliance. This is an ideal opportunity into both Risk and Assurance management and Contracts Management, and you'll have the chance to form part of our future plans within these functions. If you can bring us great people skills combined with real commercial awareness and a compliance focus, we can offer you the chance to build a career with a business that puts people at the heart of its strategy.

What you'll do

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the compliance elements of the Mechanical, Electrical and Building Fabric
  • Deal with system/process queries, handle schedule change requests, and make sure the Supplier Relationship Management Framework is completed to the expected standard
  • Work closely with the Contracts Management team, making sure our suppliers are delivering their contracted requirements to high standards
  • Drive a collaborative way of working between team members and supply chain, putting focus on areas of weakness, and using data to drive future improvements
  • Use your knowledge and experience to inform, shape and build our Compliant trading estate of the future through helping us create new ways of working with our suppliers
  • Review and instruct required remedial works from maintenance activity and drive these through to completion
  • Carry out assurance activity on the work our suppliers carry out, including auditing, review meetings and cross functional working with our Engineering team

This role would suit people who have

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to manage information both upstream and downstream
  • Good partner management skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and remotely and be driven to hit set targets, but also self-motivated in seeking new opportunities for improvement
  • Strong Data interpretation and report writing skills

Why Co-op?

If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services).

  • An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
  • 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
  • A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
  • Coaching and training to support your career development
  • Wagestream app - giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
  • YuLife app - rewarding you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for your favourite brands

At Co-op, we're proud to do things a different way. As one of the world's largest co-operatives, owned by millions of members, community is at the heart of what we do. Since our Co-op was founded in 1844, we've had a clear social purpose, and everything we do as a business helps to build a fairer world for our members, customers, colleagues, and communities.
