Summary

Job Overview
-We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge and practical expertise in engineering principles, particularly as they relate to facilities management. The Engineering SME will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic decision-making, optimizing operational processes/performance, and ensuring the effective maintenance, compliance and functionality of our clients' facilities.

Main Duties

-Technical Guidance: Provide expert consultation and guidance on engineering-related matters to internal teams and clients.

-Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve overall performance within our operational teams.

-Systems Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced engineering solutions, automation technologies, and IoT devices to optimise building systems and infrastructure.

-Asset Management: Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximise the lifespan and functionality of critical equipment and infrastructure.

-Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risk within our facilities management operations.

-Training and Development: Provide training and mentorship to internal teams on engineering best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

-Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products.

-Problem Solving: Act as a resource for troubleshooting complex technical issues and developing effective solutions to address challenges within operations.

-Project Management: Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

What we are looking forExperience & Management

-Proven experience in facilities management or a related industry, with a focus on engineering.

-In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, building automation systems (BAS), and energy management principles.

-In depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Interacting & Communicating

-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and compliance concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

-Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and developing team members.

Analysing & Reporting

-Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive informed decision-making.

Adapting & Performing

-A proven track record of working in a detailed and complex working environment with multiple stakeholders

-Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure to demand and requirements of day to day contract needs and expectations

Other

Project management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus
