Summary


This is an exciting opportunity for a person with data manager experience to work with an experienced multi-disciplinary team running clinical trials, with specific responsibility in the management of the day to day collection of data in the Haematology Trials team.

You will be responsible for the submission of data for trials in the Multiple Myeloma, Myeloprolipherative Neoplasms, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia portfolios using a variety of data capture tools; working alongside research nurses and practitioners. You will use effective communication with external agencies and internal teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data submitted.

A band 4 – 5 progression post appointment may be considered if the you do not match the essential criteria. This process is dependent on successful completion of band 4 competencies within 6-9 months and band 5 competencies within 9-12 months and also passing of an internal test.

Transcribes/exports data from medical records (paper/electronic) to CRFs (paper/electronic).

Accountable for the maintenance and update of department’s data collection tools advising the Team Lead of necessary improvements for better and more accurate data recording.

Liaise and assist the nursing and medical team in the collection of accurate data for submission to trial sponsors.

Analyses data collected to ensure that it is complete, accurate and appropriate .Addresses inaccuracies or incomplete data with the clinical team for prompt resolution.

Communicates effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, trial sponsors and their representatives as well as other teams within the Trust to ensure appropriate conduct of trials.

Liaise closely with trial sponsors/monitors to ensure timely identification and resolution of data queries.

Manage day to day data queries with a view to prompt resolution.
