Summary
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our team. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and attachments for machining operations
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine performance or product quality
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Overtime available as and when required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner or similar role
- Proficiency in operating CNC turning machines
- Strong knowledge of machining principles and techniques
- Familiarity with programming languages such as G-code/Conversational/Hurco knowledge preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience with CAD software is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools for assembly, welding, fabrication, etc.
- Knowledge of materials handling in a warehouse setting
