Description
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen. From preparing ingredients to assisting with food plating and cleaning, you will ensure that our kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently. This is a Grade 2 position, offering a competitive salary and opportunities for growth within our organization.
Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
Support the chefs during meal service by following their instructions and ensuring a timely delivery of dishes
Help with food plating and presentation to ensure it meets our high-quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing countertops, and clearing food waste
Regularly check and restock kitchen supplies, including ingredients, utensils, and cleaning materials
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling and storage
Requirements
Prior experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with the kitchen team
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety principles
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects if necessary
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Hours Per Week: 30.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.00
