Summary
I am a young girl living in Gowerton with my family. I have autism. I love arts and crafts and I have a special love for dogs. I enjoy swimming and going on adventure walks. I also enjoy going to the cinema. But I do not like crowds. My favourite shop is B&M bargains as they sell lots of arts and craft things. I am looking for a PA who would like to join me on my adventures. My PA would need to also love dogs or animals.
A driver would be essential. I do not like buses.
Hours of work
5 hours per week during school term (Plus 10 miles ) on weekends
8 hours per week during school holidays (Plus 20 miles ) on weekends
Rate of pay: £ 12
Tasks involved
• Accompany me on my walks.
• Accompany me to do arts and crafts.
• Accompany me shopping to B&M
Type of person required
• A person who respects and understands the importance of privacy and confidentiality when working in someone else’s home
• Someone who is confident, mature and has patience
• A person who is dependable and arrives on time.
• A person with a friendly, easy-going manner
• Someone who is adaptable and flexible is essential
• Someone who could provide extra hours on occasions
• Someone who will be able to support me but not take over
• Able to work Independently and on their own initiative to previously agreed criteria
• Someone who is able to work to instruction
• Someone trustworthy, reliable and punctual
• Someone with a caring and responsible attitude
• Be willing to undertake any training identified as relating to the post e.g. Manual Handling Course, Basic First Aid
Concerning the position
You will be formally employed by the Direct Payment Client which requires a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly with appropriate holiday pay calculated. A DBS will need to be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs are met by Swansea council.
