The job holder is initially based at Head Office and is responsible reporting to Contract Director to ensure that all installation and maintenance work carried out by company associates reaches the highest standards of quality, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a project from start up to customer delivery including but not limited to, managing engineers and sub-contractors on site, liaising and building a relationship with the client, keeping to budget, value engineering, staying on top of variations and delivering the projects on time to a high standard.

With work taking place across the following areas Suffolk /Essex / Southern UK / based contracting works, working with new and existing clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish new contacts with potential customers and monitor and develop relationships with established customers.
      • After initial contact with customers, carry out site visit to establish customer's specification and gather enough information to produce a written quotation for work.
        • Generate lists of materials / parts, sub-contract services, hire equipment that are required for quotation purposes providing them to the procurement department to obtain cost effective prices and timely delivery dates.
          • Produce written quotations based on agreed scope of works with the customer, incorporating labour material and hire costs.
            • Ensure that all customers' requirements have been identified correctly in the quotation. File as pending until customer accepts or rejects the quotation. (Attempt to establish their reasons for any rejected quotation.)
              • Once a quotation is accepted, verify scope of work is unchanged, agree installation programme with customer, ensuring that long deliveries of items can meet programme and that correct labour skills and numbers are available.
                • Co-ordinate mechanical / electrical interface together with sub-contract suppliers.
