Summary

Brighton College Prep School is seeking two Gap Assistants to start in August 2024. This is a fixed-term role for one year, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist in the games department, music department, or Pre-Prep, depending on the specific post, preparing equipment for lessons, supporting during lessons and on fixtures or in concerts and productions. To help with clubs and activities at lunchtimes and after school. To help with regular duties, supervising in the playgrounds and dining hall. To help manage the lost property system in school. To be responsible for tidying specific areas of the school. To assist staff with displays. Any other reasonable management request to support the day-to-day running of the school. HOURS OF WORK: The post-holder will work 42 hours per week: 3 days from 7.45am-4.15pm/2 days from 7.45am-5.15pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak, Monday to Friday inclusive. Some flexibility with start and finish times will be required. This role will work during term-time only (35 weeks per year). HOLIDAYS: Annual leave entitlement is included in the salary for this role. Holidays should be taken outside of the working weeks. BENEFITS:Complimentary lunch is provided. SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:This role will involve daily contact with pupils, and you will be engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
