Summary


To provide a comprehensive and confidential administration support to the Cardiology team. As required, to act as a source of advice and guidance regarding the speciality. You will need to have excellent secretarial skills and be able to organise busy schedules and diaries. Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure is essential.

The day to day duties will include handling telephone calls, emails, dealing with patient queries with tact and sensitivity, updating patient records, dealing with confidential information, filing and helping to ensure all department KPI’s are achieved.

Main duties include providing a comprehensive admin service to the Cardiology team. The service requirements include ensuring that all of the relevant appointments are booked following Trust policy. Relevant paperwork is correct and up to date. Work as a team to ensure all KPI’s are completed within Trust targets to include E-referrals, outpatient waiting list, typing, RBT and clinic outcomes. Appropriate diary management, clinic management and dealing with patient queries.

To ensure, wherever possible, that all documentation is up-to-date, in an orderly fashion and available whenever decisions are being made, reporting exceptional circumstances where necessary.
