Summary


There’s never been a better time to consider joining our North Manchester General Hospital People Team working to support the delivery of the hospital's People Plan. Join us, and you could soon be helping to coordinate and deliver agreed organisational development interventions, projects, activities and programmes that will ultimately enhance staff and patient experience .

In your role you will cover a selection of specific areas, including Culture, Leadership Development, Staff Engagement and Experience, Team support, as well as Transformation initiatives.

Already an established OD professional, you’re educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of supporting workforce needs. What's more, you’re used to working in a large, complex, multi-professional organisation and environment of change. Knowledge of the principles of OD and training is essential, as is familiarity with HR policies and procedures. What’s more, you’re flexible in approach, have excellent presentation and project management skills and know how to effectively persuade, negotiate with, and influence others.

Flexibility is a critical aspect of this role and the post holder will need to demonstrate the willingness, understanding and ability to manage a broad range of organisational requirements and demands.

Close and effective working relationships with the HR Management Team and Divisional Teams are vital to successfully achieving the required outcomes and you will be required to demonstrate a strong team working ethic at all times.

Using your well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, you will enjoy coming up with creative solutions to complex challenges, including how best to engage with staff to maximise their involvement in your initiatives.

You will have well-developed influencing and people management skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team. Embedding a culture of continuous improvement, you will mentor and inspire colleagues.

You’ll be resilient and ambitious with a vibrant ‘can do’ attitude and values that mirror our own perfectly with the skill and flexibility to operate at pace and overcome individual and organisational obstacles positively, and collaboratively.

Lastly, you’ll be an impressive communicator with the ability to adapt your approach & style to meet needs of audience as you’ll deliver training to managers, HR & employees on a variety of topics relating to employee health & wellbeing for various clients (both internal & external).

The post holder will work across North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) to coordinate and directly deliver agreed organisational development interventions, projects and activities to help meet the operational and strategic objectives of the hospital.

The post holder will have responsibility for particular work projects in relation to the hospital wide priorities and also for specific Team and individual interventions where identified.

With a background in effectively managing change and achieving results, you will use this knowledge to determine what realistically can and cannot be achieved. This will include using a wide range of data and information to identify the measures that need to be made and setting ambitious targets to drive performance across the hospital.

What’s more, you’ll show initiative with the ability to work unsupervised & independently but also thrive working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
