Summary

• Support for the day-to-day operational management of the Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC)
• Management of a full and flexible administrative support to the EOC
• Management of efficient robust data capture systems required for the
• Management of equipment stock for the EOC theatres
• Management of RTT validation of all EOC trusts
• Active contribution to the delivery of “patient cantered” services in the
• Manage and monitor the EOC joint waiting lists, specifically breaching RTT

Operational Main Duties
• Manage personal workload to meet both corporate and personal deadlines.
Manage staff and delegate appropriate tasks, ensuring competence of the staff to which work is delegated.
Organise team meetings as appropriate.
Attend and participate in EOC service meetings. Prepare agenda, record the minutes, and invite internal and external attendees
To maintain an up-to-date log of senior management availability to ensure cover is always in place, particularly ensuring that administrative cover is adequate
• Meet and greet external visitors for the EOC
Validation and pathway management of the EOC joint PTL
Leadership and Workforce Management
• Provide line management to EOC administrative team. This will include personal development, training, (PDP), appraisal and work allocation.
• Managing staff leave and ensuring all posts are covered to deliver the service.
• Manage all admin team attendance through Health Roster.
• Provide SM with staff sickness absence information.
• Responsible for co-ordination of induction process for all new starters in conjunction with respective team leads.
General Administration
• Checking and monitoring of hours for bank and agency staff and providing monthly reports to SM
• Respond to public enquiries on behalf of SM as
• Monitor, respond and escalate messages left at the EOC email
• In the absence of SM be the next point of contact for external trusts
