Are you a dedicated and hard-working individual seeking a rewarding opportunity in the healthcare sector? We have an exciting opening for a Housekeeper to join our esteemed Ambulatory care SDEC unit at Northwick Park Hospital. Be part of our team that is making a real difference in patient care!

As a Housekeeper, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for our patients and staff. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are essential, as you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and provide essential support to our patients.

Familiarity with Trust ICT applications, such as NHS Mail, , ELMS, and eProcurement, is desirable, and proficiency in using MS Word and Excel will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities include :
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment for patients and staff in line with infection control and CQC requirements.
• Ensuring the ward environment adheres to Health & Safety, Fire and COSHH policies and standards - maintaining required documentation.
• Ordering, storage and topping up of ward stock including daily supplies, specialist equipment, mattresses, PPE and documentation. Prompt escalation of shortages or concerns.
• Undertaking regular environment and equipment checks and audits escalating and documenting concerns and action taken.
• Undertaking cleaning inspections with domestic supervisor, ward manager or matron; ensuring remedial actions taken as required.
• Prompt reporting and tracking of equipment maintenance requirements with EBME.
• Assisting patients with dietary needs including menu ordering and feeding patients (following training).
• Preparation of beds and bed spaces before and after patient admissions.
