The Company

The company are a leading Tier 1 Contractor who work both nationally and internationally. Operating in over 15 countries worldwide working on projects valued from £1m - £1b and in a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, residential & retail.

The role

As a Health and Safety Advisor your role will be to support the health and safety manager in providing health and safety advice and guidance to managers and staff, enabling them to fulfil the health and safety responsibilities and maintain the high standards and you will be working on mixed use prs developments which have a mixture of housing, high rise blocks and commercial units.

Purpose of the Role

The SHEQ Advisor will provide advice on SHEQ matters to all staff and subcontractor personnel, with particular emphasis on providing support across construction projects, and will require a passion for first class delivery, implementing best practice and continuous improvement.

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

With a flexible approach to supporting all activities, preferably but not limited to:

  • Engaging across the projects, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and developing subcontractors.
  • Assist with training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required.
  • Assisting with the review and production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries.
  • Assisting with audits and inspections of the site, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findings.

Work Experience / Expectations

  • Proven experience in a SHEQ advisory role within the construction industry.
  • Qualification / Health & Safety Requirements.
  • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate working towards NEBOSH Diploma.
  • A valid CSCS card is a requirement.
