Summary

The Growth Company’s (GC) team have an exciting new opportunity for Business Advisor to generate and account manage a caseload of Greater Manchester (and Northwest) employers in order to promote and increase the take-up of GC services. Design and implement appropriate recruitment and workforce development solutions for existing and potential employer customers in order to increase customer acquisition levels and income in line with business plan targets. Ensure that employers, employees (in-work conversions) and job roles worked with are appropriate in terms of the provision of work placement and Apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for own development and maintain own knowledge of contract/policy developments.
Update company MI systems as required to log employer and student interactions.
Liaise with recruitment team to ensure learners are appropriately placed (with the right type of employer in the right job role) in line with their skills sets, employers’ requirements and the requirements of the ESFA and GC quality targets.
Provide a highly efficient and customer focused recruitment and placement service, including managing speculative and/or coordinated submissions to employers.
Manage and promote a portfolio of learners/candidates in order to generate placement, vacancy and Apprenticeship opportunities.
Present, promote and sell appropriate products/services in line with the Growth Company -Education & Skills strategy.
Use understanding of the portfolio of apprenticeships and training opportunities available to ensure that employers and candidates are matched with the correct programmes in line with their needs.
Conduct professional face to face and telephone meetings at all levels with customers, delivering sales presentations and pitches.
Attend networking events and learner recruitment events (which at times will involve working outside of standard business hours).

Skills Required:

Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship standards, NVQ’s and their processes.
A minimum of two years sales and employer engagement experience.
A track record of diagnosing business needs and developing solutions that meet their needs.
Producing business proposals following diagnosis of business needs.
Experience of and ability to deliver convincing sales presentations.
Delivery or selling of skills training provision and/or recruitment services.
Providing guidance, advice & counseling, specialist /pastoral support to employers or young people.
Experience of working in a target driven environment.
