Summary

Sodexo are looking for an Multiskilled Building Services Technician to join Sodexo Energy & Resources team working on various contracts in Aberdeen, North Sea, Netherlands, and Shetland. Could this be the role for YOU?

  • 40 Hours
  • £17.50 per hour

For onshore working the following terms apply:

  • Monday – Friday: hours worked over and above the standard 8 hours will be paid at 1.5 x hourly rate.
  • Saturday – First 4 hours will be paid at 1.5 x hourly rate Subsequent hours will be paid at 2 x hourly rate.
  • Sunday – All works conducted on a Sunday are paid at 2 x hourly rate.

Working on our industrial site at SVT and Shetland Based Sites the following terms for payment apply:

  • Day Rate (Monday – Sunday): 12- hour shifts paid at rate 1 with a night allowance for each night spent on site.
  • We anticipate that you will be required to work at least 156 days at our SVT (Shetland)
  • Every weekend worked away will accrue a day in lieu to be taken at the end of your trip.

Offshore Works

  • Day Rate (Monday – Sunday): 12-hour shifts paid at Rate 1 with a night allowance for each night spent on any asset.
  • Every weekend worked away will accrue a day in leu to be taken at the end of your trip.

This role requires the potential candidate to be based in or around Aberdeen city.

Job Introduction

As a Multiskilled Building Services Technician at Sodexo, you will have a multi-skilled approach to a wide range of work and trades out with your core trade skills. You will undertake day-to-day planned maintenance, fault finding, and repair works as well as regular inspections and testing of the complete spectrum of services found across the E&R portfolio. What you’ll do:

  • Complete risk assessments for building services multi-disciplinary maintenance tasks and work safely always.
  • Respond to Emergency Call Out’s and attend site to provide engineering expertise ‘out of hours’.
  • Undertake all planned and unplanned work safely and effectively, complying with all relevant safety legislation and procedures and observing Health and Safety Procedures on all works undertaken.
  • Organise and prioritise tasks as needed, and work with minimum supervision while simultaneously being able to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Update colleagues on all relevant information about malfunctions, modifications and scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Share technical knowledge gained via training sessions or technical bulletins.
  • Actively champion a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff

What you bring:

  • Building Services competence with NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical maintenance and equipment repair, as well as fault finding diagnosis and repair using your technical knowledge.
  • Practical experience of working with safe systems of work and following procedures
  • IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Practical experience of working to health & safety standards
  • Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude.
