Summary
The successful candidate will input into the delivery of the Creative Strategy for Hertsmere, and lead on the establishment of a Creative Network.
In addition, they will support the Economic Development function and Partnerships Teams in managing relationships with key partners, delivering initiatives within creative sector, and organising events.
As the Council’s primary contact on Locations and Screen Tourism, they will liaise with the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) film office and/or local studio ‘Talent Managers’ to promote Hertsmere as a film friendly location; and maximise employment opportunities in the sector.
The successful candidate will be a well-organised, efficient person. They will be able to adjust to demands and define priorities, work rapidly and accurately and have the ability to communicate effectively with other professionals, elected members, senior managers within the council and businesses. They will have experience of working in the field of local government and/or in the business engagement/economic development field.
The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).

Hertsmere is located in southern Hertfordshire – we are 13 miles from Central London and within the M25. We adjoin Greater London with excellent road and rail links making London and the Home Counties easily accessible. The Council Offices are situated in Borehamwood within Zone 6 and with a direct rail link into London Kings Cross St. Pancras. The area is an internationally renowned centre for film and television production, home to BBC Elstree and Elstree Studios (a council owned asset).
