Summary

ABOUT THE JOB
The Adventist Discovery Centre (ADC) at the British Union Conference (BUC) of Seventh-day Adventists is looking for a diligent, conscientious and friendly person who can undertake the role of Office Assistant. The responsibilities of the role are to ensure efficient administrative support which include:

First point of contact for the calls and emails to the ADC, and liaison with Seventh-day Adventist Church members, employees and members of the public.
Provide administrative support to the department.
Coordinating the ADC’s paper-based students’ activities including new registrations and marking of lessons.

ABOUT YOU
To join us you will need at least:

NVQ 3, or equivalent, or willingness to train.
Previous experience of office and administrative procedures.
Experience in the use of IT systems e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point and if possible, Web content creation.
Appropriate level of GDPR and data protection security awareness and confidentiality.

Employment Type: Part-time, 12 months Fixed Term
Hours of Work: 18 hours per week
Salary: £11,106 - £14,422 (including regional weighting) annual Seventh-day Adventist Church pay scale range. Actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – contact the recruiter’s office to learn more. Benefits: Statutory annual leave according to England and Wales. 15% Additional Employer Group Pension Scheme contributions. Income and Life insurance (conditions apply). The four ADC vectors are: online and mailed courses, the FreeBible programme, books and booklets along with other valued digital media resources, and social network communities for interactive studies.
