Summary

Main Duties and Responsibilities As Planning and Performance Manager, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting managers and staff across West Yorkshire ICB. The post holder will support the Planning and Performance team in executing its functions effectively. This includes taking a lead role in ensuring all activities are well planned and managed effectively, taking a continuous improvement approach to ensure the successful delivery of the team objectives. The post holder will also be required to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of management ensuring clear and effective lines of communication. The core responsibilities of the postholder will be: Day to day management of the team and function. Operational management of integrated assurance and planning systems. Delivery of integrated assurance function to meet national, regional and West Yorkshire requirements. Leading on specific programme and planning areas. Representing the ICB in regional work. Deputising for the Deputy Director, as required. Ensuring robust delivery of regulatory processes with early identification and escalation of actual or non-compliance. Producing high quality analysis, diagnosis and outputs to support the proposed regulatory and development approach to support informed decision making within the ICB. Representing the ICB and its interests at national/public meetings/events as required, acting independently, decisively, and effectively in sensitive and political situations. At times this involves delivering difficult messages and contentious information to high level audiences potentially in a hostile environment. Co-ordinating the implementation of the operational planning process for the ICB and providers in specific places, supporting the development of integrated place-based plans. Promoting business continuity management to avoid the destabilisation of business as usual. Supporting the co-ordination of single, coherent relationships with all key external stakeholders. Acting as operational lead for the System Coordination Centre.
