A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon at a wonderful small animal practice in Hertfordshire. Our client is looking for someone who is motivated and proactive, with solid medical and surgical skills. There will be some sole charge so you should feel comfortable with this. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

You will be joining a hard-working and supportive team made up of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, a Head Nurse, a Practice Manager, 1 soon-to-be RVN, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs and a client care advisor. The practice owner has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and also oncology. An interest in imaging and/or internal medicine is advantageous but not essential. Ideally, the successful candidate should enjoy working within a team and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This modern practice is fully equipped with up-to-date technology including an in-house laboratory, isolation unit, operating theatre, ultrasound, x-ray and dentistry. Their location gives them great exposure to a variety of cases and a loyal client base. By joining this practice, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. The role is full or part time, with one Saturday every other week and time off in lieu. There are no OOHs or on-call, providing a fantastic work/life balance.

You will be working in the beautiful town of Hertford. With so much to offer: specialist shops, Hertford Museum, antique shops, pubs and restaurants and beautiful riverside walks, this is an idyllic place to live. It is also easily commutable into London.

Role:

- Salary up to £40,000 DOE

- No OOHs

Benefits:

- Contributory Pension Scheme
