Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Senior Operations Manager in the School of Medicine.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the successful delivery of an excellent operational support service for one of the School’s Academic Units: Injury, Recovery and Inflammation Sciences.

In addition, this role will partner with the Head of Operations to drive the strategic and operational agenda of the School. Working with the Director of the Academic Unit and executive team, you will contribute to the strategic, budgetary, resource, infrastructure and operations planning, policy development, policy implementation, monitoring, data and quality assurance management. You will be expected to work flexibly to support Professional Services across the School.

You will have significant operational management, strategic and business planning skills, excellent communication skills and a high degree of initiative, responsibility and self-motivation. Other essential skills include the ability to define priorities and work flexibly and effectively to meet deadlines.

This role is available on a permanent basis from 1 August 2024. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
