Summary
We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our client that provides emergency public crisis staff on an ad hoc basis.
As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to the public during extreme situations, with a primary focus on distributing water and ensuring the well-being of those affected. This position requires a quick response and a commitment to serving the community in times of need.
This is an Ad hoc, on – call position NOT a Permanent Full-time role.
Responsibilities:
- Be available to respond promptly to emergency situations as they arise.
- Assist in setting up and managing temporary relief stations for the public.
- Provide support and assistance to individuals affected by emergencies.
- Effectively communicate with team members to coordinate relief efforts.
- Provide clear and concise information to the public regarding available assistance.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for emergency response.
- Manage and distribute resources efficiently, with a focus on water distribution.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in emergency response or community service would be an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm and focused on high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to set up and manage relief stations, including lifting and carrying supplies.
Additional information:
Working Hours: This is an ad hoc, on-call position that may require availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves responding to emergencies as they occur.
Salary range: £13 - £14 p/h Monday – Friday Day time £18 - £19 p/h out of hours
Benefits: Mileage allowance depending on Location
